AI safety is the work of making sure advanced AI goes well for people.

Some of that work is technical: understanding what happens inside models, testing what they can do before they are released, and making them behave as intended.

Some of it is about institutions: the laws, standards, public investment and international agreements that decide how AI is built and used. Both need people from many backgrounds, including many who have never trained a model.

Tell us a little about yourself.

There’s no deadline and no test. We read every form, and we use what you tell us to connect you with the right people and work. The starter reading list is open to everyone, whether or not you fill this in.
